Lane Centering Function
( 3 ) Once the vehicle has stopped , all doors ( including the rear gate ) are automatically unlocked , and the vehicle remains stopped . Lane centering control is canceled , and the electronic parking brake is applied . An alert sound is played and a warning screen is displayed . The hazard warning flashers are used to alert trailing and surrounding vehicles of the emergency situation . At the same time , Emergency Stop Assist makes an emergency call .
This stage operates as follows .
• Stay stopped
• Hazard warning flashers
• All doors unlocked ( including the rear gate )
• Emergency call

• Operate the steering wheel .
• Operate the steering wheel forcefully *.
• Press one of the following switches :
( CRUISE ) switch , ( Lane Centering ) switch
*: If the driver ’ s seatbelt is unfastened , or the driver is looking away from the road ( models with Driver Monitoring System ).
