Lane Centering Function
Emergency Stop Assist activates under any of the following conditions while Lane Centering Function is operating .
• The system continues not to detect any steering wheel operation , and the system has tried to urge the driver to operate the steering wheel or to operate the steering wheel while keeping their eyes on the road *.
• The driver ’ s seatbelt was unfastened , and the system cannot detect that it has been fastened after urging the driver to fasten the driver ’ s seatbelt , and the system is urging the driver to operate the steering wheel or to operate the steering wheel while keeping their eyes on the road *.
• The system continues to detect driver inattention or that the driver has fallen asleep , or continues not to be able to detect the driver ’ s state , and the system is urging the driver to operate the steering wheel while keeping their eyes on the road *.
*: Alerts to operate the steering wheel while keeping eyes on the road are only for models with Driver Monitoring System .
