The Student President and Vice President are the main representatives of the Student Association and they have influence in making a real difference to college life. How do I know who is the best candidate? Throughout the campaign period you will see candidates around the campus, encouraging you to vote for them. Information on candidates will be available on noticeboards, through social media and on the plasma screens. There is also an opportunity to put questions to the candidates via an online forum on Moodle. This will allow you to question each candidate on their manifesto and what their focus will be for the year ahead. THE STUDENT VOICE: SPRING 2016 Ayrshire College Students’ Association elections are hosted on Moodle. This makes it easier for students to cast their vote as voting is available 24/7 during voting week. From 9am on Monday 2 May to 1pm on Friday 6 May, every student at the College will have the opportunity to vote for their preferred candidates via Moodle. All you have to do is log onto Moodle during voting week and cast your vote. Voting will be accessible on any device which supports Moodle and there will be voting stations set up in the Learning Resource Centre. If you are having difficulty accessing Moodle it is important that you contact the Learning Resource Centre staff as soon as possible. Alternative arrangements can be made for students who cannot access Moodle. How will I know who has won the election? The election results will be announced on Friday 6 May between 1pm and 2pm in the Kilmarnock campus Lecture Theatre and will be posted to the College’s website, plasma screens and social media channels soon after.
