yellow sand, forever ongoing land. Never doubt the length of time, never doubt the rugged climb. Remember to feel the wave, always feel the warmth of the cave. Some things can be hostile, others will be worthwhile.”
The patroller looked at us in sheer amazement.“ Come with me.” He led us out of his session room.“ Over here.” The patroller pointed us to a platform next to the one labeled Sky Patrol. There was an extreme opening between the two buildings. Just by looking at it, I knew it was a deadly fall. The gap was as wide as an Alira.“ How do we get across?”“ Jump,” the man shrugged.“ You have got to be kidding,” I gasped,“ If we fall, we die!”“ Jump,” he barked. I definitely didn’ t remember this part of Sky Patrol.
I looked at Dakota,“ Follow exactly what I do.” I took ten steps backwards then took off with a running start. Just as I was about to run off the Sky Patrol platform, I mounted my right foot and pushed off with my left. I felt my body leave the ground and sail through the air, then land with a thankful thud on the next platform. I looked at Dakota, encouragingly.“ Do exactly that and you’ ll be fine.” I turned to watch Dakota. He took off with a running start, and then sailed much higher than I through the air. I was nervous the impact would crush him. Dakota landed next to me and let out a groan.“ Are you ok?” I asked him nervously. He was. We looked back at the patroller for further directions.
He started talking,“ All I know is that you two definitely aren’ t going to Toronia.” A severe glance passed between Dakota and I.“ What do you mean?” asked Dakota,“ Where are we going?”“ Follow me.” Another more official looking patroller stepped out of the building in front of us.“ Why should we?” growled Dakota. Before the patroller had time to respond negatively, I butt in.
