James Bond vs Jason Bourne
Noises blair and street venders yell at oncoming pedestrians, James Bond silently leans against a dusty wall smoothing out his jet black tie and eyeing the crowds of people suspiciously. Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye he spots a blurry figure aggressively pushing his way through the crowd. Thats him. 007’ s senses kick into gear as he barrels past tourists, sweat clings to him as he fingers the gun in his jacket. Meanwhile, in another part of the world, Jason Bourne smashes his foot on the gas pedal skidding around an icy corner and cruising down a narrow, brick road. Snow pelts the windshield as he glances back to spot a looming black van edging closer. Both agents have their own style but the question remains, who do you prefer;; Bond or Bourne?
Although both James Bond and Jason Bourne are skilled fighters and both have steady hands, key important parts in their movies are cars. While Mr. Bond’ s upgraded, stylish Aston Martin DB5 shines in the spotlight, Jason Bourne’ s average Austin Mini Cooper still helps him get things done. James’ Aston Martin can travel from 0-60 mph in a mere 5.9 seconds, in contrast to Jasons’ Mini Cooper that sluggishly gets to 60 mph in 10.3 seconds. 007’ s top speed is 143 mph( not bad for a car built in 1963) unlike Bournes’ which underachieves at 98 mph. One of the most famous parts of Mr. Bond ' s car is the gadgets, which include bulletproof windows, wing machine guns and an ejector seat. On the other hand, Bourne has none, due to the fact that he is always on the run and has to pick up whatever he’ s got. Even while James’ car is more high-tech, Jason uses his car better in a tight squeeze. As a matter of fact, Mr. Bond uses his car in“ Skyfall” to shoot down enemies with the pop out machine guns as Bourne uses his car to avoid capture in the bustling streets of Paris. For this category 007 has the advantage.
