• Flyers, banners, and other physical promotional materials must receive a stamp by the Office for Student Engagement. Any item without this stamp will be taken down. o Physical promotional materials can be brought to the Office for Student Engagement( Waldron Center, 2 nd Floor) to be approved by a staff member o Electronic copies of promotional materials may be sent to studentengagement @ gmercyu. edu to be approved and printed by a staff member. All printed materials must be picked up by the requestor in the Office for Student Engagement.
• Posting and advertising by non-members of the University community must be approved in writing by the Office for Student Engagement.
• There is no posting of any kind on glass surfaces or walls. All flyers / posters must be contained to bulletin boards only. Banners, large posters, and other items may be posted using alternative methods( i. e., with rope on a railing) only if it does not ruin the integrity of the object you are posting on.
• No papers / posters / flyers or directional arrows are to be posted to any permanent directional signs( e. g., the signs outside that identify buildings or parking lots).
• Flyers / Posters may only be displayed for 2 weeks. It is the responsibility of the posting party to remove these materials at the expiration of the two( 2) weeks. The University will remove electronic postings in a timely manner. Courtesy dictates that approved individuals or organizations may not cover or remove any other approved poster( s) if the expiration date has not passed. Unapproved flyers / posters will be removed without notice.
• No Glitter may be used on flyers / posters or decorations.
• All directional signs and balloons must be removed at the conclusion of the event.
• Painting on Windows o 2 locations for approved designs for one( 1) week only. Designs must be presented and approved by the Office for
Student Engagement.
• Window on second floor of Waldron Student Center going into dining hall
• Lobby of St. Bernards Hall, window between the two front doors o Painting on windows must be removed within 48 hours after one week posting time. The windows must be cleaned thoroughly, with no trace of paint. o Violations to this will forfeit their organization’ s right to paint on the windows and also receive a warning( see fines).
• Sidewalk Chalk o Chalk may only be used on sidewalks where rain will wash it away; o Advertising with sidewalk chalk may only be done up to 3 days prior to the event. o Violations to this will forfeit their organization’ s right to advertise with sidewalk chalk and receive a warning( see fines).
• Community Boards o This applies to anything that is not a Gwynedd Mercy University sponsored event that is approved to post by the Office for Student Engagement o These may only be posted in the following locations:
• Waldron Center Breezeway( Valley Pizza Co.)- bulletin board on the right, at the end, going to Residence
Halls
• Outside Fatima Hall on the big bulletin board
• Rotelle Lounge bulletin board
