SMM : How do you come up with your music?

DBD : Honestly, I just sit down and listen to beats. At first, I freestyle to the beat to see what kind of style I want to use, then while I'm free styling, I come up with a hook. If I like the hook, the I tweak it and write the verses.

SMM : Do you have a good movement in Tennessee?

DBD : My movement in my city, Knoxville, and all the surrounding areas is a work in progress. It has really started to pick up here lately. More people are starting to realize who I am and are enjoying the music.

SMM : Where does your love of hip hop come from?

DBD : It comes from being able to express myself. I feel like I get to speak to people in my music. I am able to speak to people whom I've never met, or may never meet. I get to tell my story, in my own way to total strangers. That's where the love of the genre comes from. No other genre is a raw as hip hop, where an artist can tell the real without being censored.
