Strategic Board Goals
Each goal and its strategies work toward increasing educational and employment opportunities for the people
of the Coastal Bend region, including youth and those with barriers to employment. Performance
accountability measures described in WIOA §116(b)(2)(A) are considered minimum program requirements
contractors are required to meet and/or exceed. The goals are carried through into local contracts with
population-specific, detailed, and actionable expectations to be delivered by contractors. The seven goals
established in 2010, amended annually, and carried through 2020 are as follows:
