The pupils had been working with Dance Nuvo instructor Kayleigh Fyfe every week at an after school club in school. The pupil’s dance routine was a mixture of streetdance and hip hop called ‘Walton Work It’. Much of the choreography was led by the pupils themselves in particular Amy Fox, Rebecca Cooper and Megan Winfer who performed a dance to Flo Rida. Miss Victoria Atherton, KS2 Co-ordinator and PE Teacher, said: “We are very proud of our children; they performed wonderfully at the theatre and provided excellent leadership skills to the younger children.” June/July 2014 55
