STAFFORD AND STONE CANOE CLUB Local canoe club members earn their place on team GB tafford and Stone Canoe Club have had a busy first quarter to 2014 culminating in Junior and Senior selection trials/races for places on the junior and senior GB teams, to represent Great Britain at European and World Championships all over the world. The senior and junior paddlers have worked hard with their commitment S 44 June/July 2014 and training paying off with many places in the GB teams The club’s new press officer Deborah Homer said: The club was very well represented at the 2014 Junior Selection series, which also encompassed the first three Premier Division races of 2014 with 21 of our paddlers competing across the different classes. The start of the season was very exciting indeed with fast, high and bouncy water at Grandtully for the first two races which proved quite challenging for all, which was spectacular to watch! The junior selection series consists of three races with paddlers awarded points according to the position they finish in at each race. The best
