ECCLESHALL FESTIVAL
Monster events mark
return of towns ten
day biennial Festival
D
uring the height of summer residents and
visitors to Eccleshall will be treated to a
carnival of colour and entertainment as
they welcome the return of the town’s
Festival.
The 2014 Festival takes place over 10 days
with events starting on Friday 13th June and
running until Sunday 22nd, organised by a
group of local volunteers who aim to make the
biennial event the highlight of the town’s social
activities.
Filled with events ranging from a fashion
show, pub quizzes, walks, to a family treasure
hunt, and a talent contest, all running alongside
special Festival events organised by local clubs

and groups to fill the ten days.
One of the main events of the Festival will be
the Street Market set to take place on Saturday
21st June between 10am and 4pm and which
this year will be opened by the Mayor of
Stafford Borough, Councillor Ray Sutherland.
Admission to the Market is free, and will
feature live music, street entertainers, food
stalls, a ‘strictly for kids’ area with bouncy castle,
stilt walker, face painting, and around 60
market stalls, many of which will be operated by
local clubs and organisations raising money for
their own funds.
