The Old Hall School
Open evening for parents of
pre-school children
he Old Hall School in Wellington is to host an
open evening for parents of pre-school
children to help them prepare for the official
start of primary school this September.
T
Headmaster Mr Martin Stott said there would
be a team of experts including reception class
teachers, sports and music tutors and the School's
Special Educational Needs Coordinator to talk to
parents.
“It is a very exciting time for families but it can
be quite a daunting and emotional experience, “said
Mr Stott.
“We felt an informal evening but one packed
with information and support might help to make
this transition smoother.”
The event on February 27, at 7pm will be
followed by a craft activities morning for pre-school
children as part of its whole school open morning
on March 1, from 10am to 12.30pm.
It will be a busy week for the school which also
hosts its official Working Open Day on Friday,
February 28 (visits by appointment).
