STONE FOOD & DRINK FESTIVAL

More than ever for foodies at Stone’ s gastronomic gathering!

With the expansion of the main festival site at Westbridge Park, this year’ s Stone Food & Drink Festival – which will take place on Friday 4th, Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th is set to offer its foodie followers a host of new attractions, alongside firm festival favourites.

The most exciting new addition will offer visitors the chance to enjoy fine dining as part of their festival experience at the‘ Pop up in the Park’ – a restaurant and piano bar courtesy of a partnership between two of Staffordshire’ s best-known purveyors of fine food and drink; The Moat House at Acton Trussell and Tittensor’ s Old School Wines. While the piano bar will serve wine, champagne and cocktails throughout festival opening hours alongside hand-picked accompaniments from a deli bar, the restaurant- led by The Lewis Partnership’ s Executive Head Chef Matt Davies- will serve delicious three-course lunches on all three days.
On Friday and Saturday evenings, once the main festival gates have closed, it will transform into an independent venue serving elegant evening meals and drinks exclusively to customers who pre-book tables. Festival Chairman, Richard Stevens says:
“ We’ re absolutely delighted to be able to add a fine dining experience to the attractions on Westbridge Park over the‘ big weekend’. This is something that has been a long time in the planning, and it’ s great to have two first-class partners on board to deliver what looks set to be a very special addition to the festival.”
Another new addition to this year’ s event will be‘ Oat Cuisine’ – a celebration of local delicacy, the Staffordshire Oatcake, and all things‘ oatie’. Meanwhile, shopping in the Gourmet Marquee will be more diverse than ever; with over 100 stalls representing food & drink producers from as far afield as Scotland and Cornwall, while the Taste of Staffordshire marquee showcases the very finest local food businesses; from restaurants to producers.
The Demonstration Kitchen will once again feature free cookery demonstrations from top local chefs, while the Mercedes Benz of Stafford Talks & Tastings Tent will play host to a packed programme of foodie topics with plenty of chances to sample delicious food & drink. Youngsters will also be well catered for, with free kid’ s cookery classes and parent & toddler music sessions offered
