Schools , charities and various organisations spent hours of their time to make their float and costumes the best and with the sun shining the carnival which followed was a fun filled action packed day enjoyed by thousands of revellers who travelled from near and far to Westbridge Park for all the fun of the fair .
Friday night ’ s Party In The Park was equally well supported and went off without a glitch providing music fans with an amazing lineup of entertainment which kicked off at 6pm and ran through the summer evening until 11pm featuring entertainment from the youngsters of Rooftop Studios , local band Monkey Finger and topping the bill was the brilliant Rolling Stones

Following a spectacular week of entertainment , socialising and activities coupled with a fantastic show of community spirit , Stone Festival committee wished to thank every person who came along to make the festival week and Carnival Day such a roaring success .
Providing the perfect finish to the perfect week was the Songs of Praise concert celebrating 60 glorious years since the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II . Audience members enjoyed a wonderful service , lead by Nicola Abbott who proved to be a very capable replacement for Ian Cardinal along with the choir and the children from St Michaels First School who all helped to make it a very nice end to the Festival week .
