STAFFORDSHIRE YFC LOCAL YOUNG FARMER COMPETES AGAINST WEST MIDLANDS FINEST n Sunday, 16th March Herefordshire Young Farmers Club hosted the West Midlands Area round for the Junior and Senior Member of the Year Competitions at Oakengates Theatre, in Telford with local club members representing Staffordshire YFC well in both sections. Among the junior members competing was Sally Leese of Eccleshall YFC who took part along with Toby Hall of Abbotsholme YFC. Junior competitors were required to produce a CV giving details of their activities within YFC over the previous 12 O months as well as information about their school, career aspirations, and activities outside YFC along with a Personal Statement. An informal interview and power point presentation also took place on the day. Both Sally and Toby did a stirling job representing their clubs and county but it was Toby who was placed first ahead of six other members. He will now go forward to represent his county and the West Midlands Area at the National Finals being held on Saturday 5th July, at the Staffordshire County Showground where he will be competing against the top YFC members from across the 7 other areas of England and Wales.
