ripped and reseeded sub-catchment or on the constructed earthworks , although naturalised Angleton grass ( Dicanthium aristatum ) spread rapidly and persisted in the gully channels .

• All gully profiles changed positively over the project period with increased vegetation in the gully floors and side walls .

• There was some concern by the landholder re : erosion in the diversion bank channel as true levels were found , also resulting in considerable deposition at some points along the channel and also at the level sill , but by May 2022 , the bank channel was fully grassed over and stable .

The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries , led by Paul Jones , established a monitoring site , Plot 7 , in the black soil project paddock in November 2017 and completed in July 2021 . Sampling was undertaken in November 2017 , June 2018 , October 2018 , June 2019 , July 2020 , November 2020 and June 2021 . Two LFA gradsects were lost due to construction of the stock dam . Annual reports on the monitoring activity were provided 2018-2022 .

A reference site , Plot 11 , was established at Mt . Pleasant Station , providing a landscape in good grazing land condition , for comparison to the project site in terms of pasture yield and composition , and soil surface condition .
