Bothriochloa pertusa was dominant in all Tabletop plots and responded well to good seasonal conditions and no grazing prior to October 2018 . Stylosanthes scabra and Urochloa mosambicensis were the next highest yielding components and also responded well to the conditions with S . scabra reaching 22 per cent in plot 2 , and 34 per cent in plot 5 of the recorded pasture in July 2021 . Pasture composition and ground cover did not change much across the monitoring period but overall improvements in litter cover ( 15 – 32 per cent ) and pasture yield ( 1026 – 3325 kg / ha ) drove improvement in land condition .
