I came across the old registers when clearing mum’s and the Sunday School Register covering a period from 1963 – 1967 showed there were between 42 – 54 children attending in any one year. I wonder where they all are now? Morag Vestry (Standing Committee) notes The first meeting of the Standing Committee, Office Bearers and Priest only, took place in November. We heard the Priest’s report and discussed the financial matters covering October only (everything else with Cook & Co in preparation for the AGM). The actual date for the Annual General Meeting has yet to be confirmed. The business agenda was limited, and the meeting was short - a miraculous 45 minutes! • Confirming the Dean’s visit on 23/11/17; Health and Safety, Electrical and Fire checks were in the diary or had been completed. • Sunday Calendar – Priest will replace the Sunday School on the fourth Sunday for intercessions. Advent Season arrangements were confirmed: • A Crib Blessing Service on Saturday 16 December 2017. Church will be open 10-3. Refreshments available (volunteers required) (Rev LA) • One big card for congregation to sign and donations welcome (DN) Rev Lesley-ann explained her plans for new developments in 2018: • St Oswald’s will produce a “What’s On” leaflet. • New service in a weekday evening: “Alternative” using new technology and non-liturgical. Lead by Rev Lesley-ann and Ashley. Tickets for the Burns Supper £10 (go towards Mission Fund) will be held on 31 January 2018 with entertainment. Pay Bar available (donation). Thank you to those who have made donations which purchased the new banners and liturgy books. The Full Vestry will meet on Tuesday 5 December 2017 at 7:30 pm with no meeting in January 2018. 9
