The place is beautiful. The tour of the Mansion also included a Meditation
garden where he and his parents and his Grandmother were laid to rest. We
also went into the two airplanes he used and the automobile Museum where
his Pink Cadillac was with lots of other cars.
There were lots of other places, too numerous to mention.
The following day James drove us back to
Nashville. We then did a tour of the Andrew
Jackson's Hermitage Home of the People's
President. It was very interesting to see what sort
of person he was but the cabin where the servant
lived was tiny.
He served two terms in the White House as
America's seventh President. His legacy is also
marked by slavery that still echoes today. You
were not allowed to take photographs inside the
house, but the grounds are enormous and amazing.
Before going back to the hotel, we stopped at a shopping mall. James and I
had a ten-minute ride on toy animals and Mylene took photos.
What fun we had with people around giving us high 5s and waves.
Next day it was back to the airport and going home. It was sad having to
say goodbye but I’m so glad that I will be seeing them again in December.
