STOKING CURIOSITY | SHORT REPORT 2018 REVIEW WHO VISITED THE FESTIVAL? At least 300 visitors came to the festival. From our evaluation, and from looking around and speaking to people, we know that: • People came from across Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme, and two people who gave feedback came especially from Manchester Most visitors who filled the feedback said they had a higher education qualification. The bar-based science talks, and the half-day art and creative workshops attracted between 10 and 49 people. The interactive exhibits and art exhibition attracted 65–300 visitors over two days. • All age groups from young children to 65+ years were represented; the majority were young and middle-aged adults The discussions attracted more people on the first day (up to 25 people). On the second day most had between 4 and 10 attendees. • The majority of visitors were white British More Than Minutes, Popcorn Media and local artists including 20 comic arts students documented the event. • Twice as many female visitors as male visitors filled the feedback 8
