Messages of thanks
After the 60th celebrations were over , lots of photos of the day were published on St Margaret ’ s Facebook page ( https :// www . facebook . com / StMargaretsUniting ChurchHackettACT /) and on St Margaret ’ s website at https :// stmargaretsunitingchurch . wordpress . com / photographs /.
An email was sent to all who apologised ( for all or some of the day ’ s events ) providing the link to the photos on the website if they were interested in looking at them . These responses were received :
Dear Brian ,
I am ever-so-grateful for the opportunity to look through the St Margaret ’ s photos and remember times of great joy and great sorrow that we marked there . I sent the link today to all of my siblings and each ( bar Robert , at this stage ) has commented on various photos . It meant a lot to me to see the photos of Ross Walker . He was such a legend , especially his loving care of our family after Dad died in ‘ 73 . The photo of Mark & Liz ’ s wedding also moved me with sorrow that Tony ’ s life was so short and so troubled . We had been the best of mates and even went exploring for opals in 1974 . I think I saw a photo of Rob Calvert from about that time ), and the several photos of Jeff Bishop meant a lot to me . And that ’ s not to mention the photo of Col Slater and of Mum and Arthur and Aunty Ruth . Thank you for sending me the link . I pray that God might be pleased to grant to St Margaret ’ s many years of faithful service . May the message of his live in Jesus spread to many so that people who sit in darkness will see the light of life .

It was a pleasure attending St Margaret ’ s 60th celebrations and seeing so many familiar faces .
