ou may find your new hobby, make a new friend or volunteer for a nonprofit – and have a load of fun at the same time.

STILLWATER SENIOR CENTER
Located at 1015 E. 12th Ave., the Stillwater Senior Center is part of the City of Stillwater’ s offerings, and provides social and recreational activities for those 50 and older. The center is open from 9 a. m. to 4 p. m. and activities include fitness classes, line dancing, social bridge, Zumba class, Tai Chi, cards and even guitar lessons. STILLWATER CHURCHES
Stillwater churches offer plenty of opportunities for connection and community, along with making friends, enjoying Bible studies or LifeGroups or working together to serve others less fortunate. Some churches offer monthly meetings, community outreach events, pickle ball, potluck dinners or road trips to places like Branson, Missouri or northwest Arkansas.

FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY
For the book fans in Stillwater, consider volunteering with the Friends of the Library. Its main goal is to support and promote the Stillwater Public Library, and each year board members and volunteers coordinate the Spring Used Book Sale and Fall Used Book Sale at the library. The funds raised from the sales allow the library to purchase books, materials and equipment, as well as“ provide programming for all ages, including the summer reading program,” according to its website.
To join the Friends, you may fill out a membership form and bring or mail it to the library, or pick one up at the Circulation Desk. Members pay dues of $ 10 annually, or you may become a lifetime member for $ 100. Being a lifetime member gives you free access to the Preview Night of the Friends’ biannual book sales. You can also look into serving on the Friends of the Library Board.

STILLWATER ART GUILD
The Stillwater Art Guild was founded in 1963 and is dedicated to“ stimulating community interest in the visual arts and crafts,” according to its social media. Their meetings are typically listed on their Facebook and Instagram pages and on the Visit Stillwater calendar.
