of desserts . Like the rest of the menu at Roscoe ’ s , all the desserts are made from scratch in-house from his families ’ recipes . A favorite is “ Roscoe ’ s Birthday Cake ,” a chocolate cherry jubilee cake that he got every year on his birthday growing up .
Owner Roscoe himself is a man of character . He is always smiling , ready to tell a story and doesn ’ t know a stranger . He believes in building relationships with everyone around him . Roscoe believes in treating his customers and his staff just like they are his family . He admits he couldn ’ t do it without them and refers to his staff as his “ right arm .” He opened his restaurant because he wanted to offer the “ traditional mealtime ,” like how he grew up , to the public and what he feels has been lost . Roscoe believes in people gathering around a table , sharing a “ homecooked ” meal together , talking to each other , and where everyone is welcome .
Roscoe ’ s Feed Shack is different than the other 40-plus restaurants in Stillwater , but that is OK . Roscoe states he knows that he may not have the best food , but he does have good food and the best service . Different is good !
