nd you can see all your food options in front of you to choose from when you walk in the door , then this is DEFINITELY the place for you . Roscoe ’ s Feed Shack is like no other restaurant in Stillwater , and they pride themselves on being different .
Owner / Proprietor Roscoe Hendren opened Roscoe ’ s Feed Shack in Stillwater originally in 2020 in the Rosewood Hills Shopping Center but quickly outgrew that space and moved to its current location at 523 W 6th in 2021 . Roscoe ’ s serves “ home cooking ” and is a restaurant like no other . From the minute you walk in the door , you will be welcomed with a warm greeting , shown your food choices for the day and told to sit wherever you like . Roscoe believes that no matter who you are , as a customer in his restaurant , you are treated as family .
The “ home cooking ” style of food that is served at Roscoe ’ s comes from recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation from both sides of his family , and some of the recipes are even over 100 years old . Roscoe grew up cooking side by side with his grandmothers and great-grandmothers . His families ’ heritages of European , French Creole and Native are noticeable in the food he serves . Roscoe says he enjoys serving the food he grew up on .
Roscoe was raised on certain beliefs when it comes to food that he still holds onto today and brings to the food he makes for his restaurant . All the food at Roscoe ’ s Feed Shack is made in-house from scratch , never pre-packaged . Hot food should always be served steaming and fresh , cold food should be cold . Roscoe also doesn ’ t believe in wasting anything . It frustrates him how much food is wasted in America , so he takes pride in using everything he purchases for his restaurant with as minimal waste as possible . To further that belief at the end of shifts , Roscoe donates leftover food from his restaurant to various organizations around Stillwater to go to feeding those in need .
Roscoe ’ s Feed Shack offers 1-meat , 2-meat and all-you-can-eat options . They offer dine-in , to-go orders and catering services as well . Customers ’ favorites include meatloaf , ribs and of course , the array
