“ AT VISIT STILLWATER, WE LOVE HELPING PROMOTE LOCAL HOLIDAY EVENTS THAT CONTRIBUTE TO THE QUALITY OF LIFE IN OUR COMMUNITY...”
CINEMA 34 MOVIES Cinema 34 kicked off in July, with the event venue hosting a movie showing almost every month with movie-themed giveaways. In September,“ Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” was the movie, and event coordinators handed out 100 Wonka Bars, five of which had golden tickets. The golden ticket winners received earbuds and Kicker, Visit Stillwater and Block 34 swag.
The venue will also host the Merry Market again this year, but the event will be held three days in December instead of one. It will take place 5:30-9 p. m. Dec. 4, 11 and 18.
“ It will have a variety of food, drink and merchandise vendors, and we’ ll have Santa visiting the Merry Market on the Dec. 11 and the 18,” McGrew said.
Along with many of the community events, Visit Stillwater is also sponsoring a holiday promotion called“ Fly Home for The Holidays,” which is a shopping promotion that encourages people to shop, dine and play locally. The promotion runs Nov. 21-Jan. 3, and one entry can be submitted for every $ 50 spent in Stillwater for a chance to win one of five $ 500 American Airlines gift cards to travel through the Stillwater Regional Airport.
“ At Visit Stillwater, we love helping promote local holiday events that contribute to the quality of life in our community and give residents and visitors alike the opportunity to experience the magic of Stillwater during the holiday season,” said Madelyn Cowan, director of marketing for Visit Stillwater.“ We are proud to sponsor the Holiday Parade of Lights and Drone Show, two events that bring our community together and showcase America’ s Friendliest College Town as a festive destination for residents and visitors alike.”
