Nature-play, workshops, woods & wildlife
Sunday 9 February: Family winter woodland adventure.
Look for animal tracks and trails, winter trees and maybe toast
a marshmallow over the fire in Selsdon Wood. Please come
dressed for the outdoors - wellies and water proofs.
Join the community partnership officer for this forest
school inspired event for parents to experience the magic of
spending time outdoors with their children 5+. For more

Sunday 16 February: Mini-beast hotels and beetle bungalows.
Come and join the Sanderstead to Whyteleafe countryside
warden for a fun time making garden homes for insects. All
equipment and tools will be provided. Cost of £2 per home to
be paid on the day. Please call the warden on

numbers are limited.
Sunday 23 March: Footprints, burrows and bones!
Learn how to interpret the clues animals leave behind. Join the
warden looking at signs such as tracks, burrows, droppings and
tooth marks, and make your own animal track plaster casts.
Event aimed at children and their families. Two miles, over 1 ½
hours. Please phone the warden on 07775 824811 for meeting
place and time, numbers are limited.
Sunday 30 March: Woodland fun in King’s Wood
Join the community partnership officer at 2pm for a forest
school inspired walk for parents to experience the magic of
spending time outdoors with their children. Go tracking, get
closer to woodland creatures and light a fire by friction. Event
aimed at children aged 5+ and their families. Booking essential
