Greg Blevins , who served as the Burnside Island golf course superintendent for the past 19 years , was recently named the General Burnside Island State Park manager . Blevins went to Eastern
Kentucky University for a
major in Turf Management with a minor in business , with the intention of becoming a golf superintendent . Before coming to Burnside Island , he previously worked at Kincaid Lake State Park and Dale Hollow Lake State Park .
