There was a really great buzz about the 2019 BEEINS Conference,
and it didn’t just come from the free give-away items the exhibitors
contributed as lucky door/raffle prizes each day.
The BEEINS Conference saw teachers from all over the state
joining the pedagogical conversation in our new professional
learning community workshops, as well as hearing from experts
from several different universities, together with our lead
volunteers from a wide range of schools, with all school systems
represented on both days.
The buzz was from simply having Biology, Earth and Environment,
Investigating Science and Extension Science teachers all at the
same TWO-day Conference – networking, sharing plans for the
future, and successful experiences from the past year’s teaching.
Adding to the energy was combining the BEEINS Conference
into a ‘two for one’ – where our K-6 Science and Technology
colleagues also joined the Conference on the Saturday, and got
straight into engaging learning activities, as you can see from the
pictures.

Thanks go to the many Keynote Speakers who enthralled us with
up-to-date scientific knowledge we can take back and use in our
schools. For all attendees, a reminder that this entire body of
learning is available through the Yammer group – under the files
section.
