knowledge value project Re-watch General Conference and write in your journal how the talks apply to Knowledge. Ask a parent, relative, or neighbor to teach you basic cooking skills. Make a recipe book of the recipes you learned how to make. Write a book, play, poetry, or short stories. Learn new basic skills such as fixing a flat tire, sewing on a button, changing the oil in a car, basic first aid, patching a hole in clothing, budgeting your money, etc. Research and find stories about your parents, grandparents, or other ancestors. Compile them into a family history and share with members of your family. Keep a scripture journal and write in it every day. Memorize the Scripture Mastery versus. Pick a career or two that you are interested in learning more about. Spend time researching the education required, the skills necessary in that field, the potential income you would make, etc. Then set up an opportunity to shadow someone in that career for a half day. Afterwards, write down what you learned, liked and disliked, and share with your family. Help a sibling or other primary child memorize the 13 Articles of Faith. Make 3 gifts using a new skill that you can give away this year for birthdays or Christmas. Examples would be making jewelry, baking bread or treats, or sewing items like a bag , scarf, or headband. Make babysitting kits for the Young Women in your ward to use. Learn how to sew scripture bags and make enough for the primary children turning eight this year in your ward. Include your written testimony of the scriptures with the gift. Learn a new hobby or skill such as playing an instrument, learning to dance, growing a garden, taking an art class, learning a new sport, starting a new exercise routine, begin learning a new language, taking a sewing class, etc. 47
