6. Take an Ice Skating Class. Put on your gloves and grab some skates! This would be a fun class to help you get beyond the “just don’t fall” stage of skating! 7. Make & Paint Pottery. Find your local pottery place and get creative! You can take a class to make your own creation or pick out one of their existing pieces to paint however you please. 8. Grow a Vegetable. First learn about which plants grow best in your climate and then research what to use for the container, soil, and seed. Take care of your plant with water and sun and watch it grow! 9. Learn to Ride a Horse. Check out your local equestrian center or even a neighbor or friend who might have a horse. 10. Make Ice Cream. There are lots of ways to make this yummy treat! In a bag, a can, or with an ice cream machine! 11. Write a Song. Using a piano, guitar, or just your voice, make up a song! You can write it down or just record it. 12. Bake a Pie. Buddy up with Grandma or another pie-maker-extraordinaire and learn how to make this yummy and classic creation. 13. Learn How to Draw. Check out the local library or even online for tutorials on how to draw basic shapes, animals, and people! Grab your pencil and get creative! 14. Tour the World. Research countries that you are interested in visiting someday and make a pretend travel plans. Where would you visit? What historical landmarks are there? What famous people have lived there? 15. Learn a Language. Brush up on your “Bonjour” and “Hola” by learning the basics of another language. There are tons of books or websites that can help you begin! 21
