Paralloy Ltd wins King ’ s Award for International Trade
company will organise its activities according to business areas through the two other holding companies : EEW Pipe Solutions Holding and EEW AOS Holding .
thyssenkrupp expands its network in Stuttgart
Paralloy Ltd is a global manufacturer of stainless steel and nickel alloys , and this year landed a King ’ s Award for International Trade . In the year ending 31 March 2024 , Paralloy turned over GBP 93.5M - up from GBP 75.2M in the prior year . A pre-tax profit of GBP 4.3M was recorded compared to a loss of GBP 2.3M . Paralloy called the year a “ positive ” one , despite “ ongoing energy , inflation and metal volatility ”. During the year , the manufacturer reached significant milestones including record order intake , order wins and revenue . It also expanded its new Teesside Advanced Manufacturing Park factory in Middlesbrough for the third time and grew its headcount to more than 500 people .
EEW Group ’ s new entity : EEW Offshore Wind Holding
thyssenkrupp Materials Processing Europe , a major steel and aluminium service center in Europe , is expanding its capacities and investing a low double-digit million euro amount in its network : At the Stuttgart site , the company plans to install two new lines and build a new 2,000 square meter warehouse . The aim is to increase production , packaging and storage capacities and to optimize them digitally . Construction work and preparations for the installation of the new slitting and packaging systems began in August . The state-of-the-art slitting line is expected to be operational by September 2025 . The new line will increase the total capacity to 350,000 tons per year . The new line , supplied by Tilgert , will increase the total capacity to 350,000 tons per year and provide a comprehensive processing portfolio in the thickness range from 0.2 to 5.0 mm .
YC Inox increases stainless steel pipe output capacity
The new entity , EEW Offshore Wind Holding , is one of three newly formed holding companies into which the group has been reorganised . It bundles the company ’ s monopile business , EEW SPC , with its production site at Rostock in Germany with the company ’ s mechanical engineering business , AWS Schäfer , which is based in Siegen , Germany . EEW Group is family owned company and employs more than 2,000 people worldwide . With six manufacturing facilities , it is a major fabricator of longitudinally welded pipes and manufactures large-diameter pipes and pipe components made of carbon steel and stainless steel , primarily for the offshore wind , oil , gas and chemical industries . The Environmental Impact Assessment ( EIA ) of the stainless steel pipe production capacity expansion project in Dilovası , Kocaeli , submitted by YC Inox TR Çelik Sanayi ve Ticaret A . Ş ., a subsidiary of Taiwan ’ s pipe producer YC Inox , has begun . With the total investment of this project amounting to TRY 64.86M , the production capacity of the plant is planned to be raised to 75,000 tons per year from the current 20,000 tons per year . After the project is operational , around 300 new employees will be hired .
