InduSuite™ introduces FloCloud
Man Industries ( India ) is going ahead with its expansion plan of setting up a new plant at Dammam , Saudi Arabia with an approx . cost of Rs 600 crore . This plant will include line pipe manufacturing and a coating facility . On operational front , it has a strong order book of approx . Rs 4,000 crore to be concluded in next 6 to 12 months .
InduSuite™ , ESAB ’ s platform of software applications for welding , cutting and robotics , has introduced FloCloud , a gas monitoring software solution . FloCloud combines GCE ’ s ® trusted brand of gas control products with InduSuite ’ s proven WeldCloud software application platform to build a gas manifold with Mesh WiFi enabled pressure and flow sensors that communicate data to the FloCloud online application . FloCloud features an easy-to-use analytics dashboard and reporting system that tracks every end user point and sends notifications if gas pressure drops or if gas flow is outside of WPS ( Weld Procedure Specification ) parameters , improving real-time data and reducing the need for manual checks . Additionally , FloCloud tracks complete gas consumption per welding job , per welding operator and per overall project . This information is valuable for cost analysis and job estimating by easily allocating gas cost to a specific job / project to be more competitive in quotes and more profitable in projects . FloCloud is built to withstand rigorous environments for mid- to high-volume gas users , which include gas distribution companies , welding in oil , gas and petrochemical operations , shipyard and off-shore applications , manufacturers of transportation , construction , mining and agricultural equipment for specialty gases in food and beverage , hospital and laboratory applications .
Antam plans to acquire smelter owned by Tsingshan Group
Indonesian state-controlled miner PT Aneka Tambang ( Antam ) is planning to acquire a smelter owned by a subsidiary of Chinese stainless steel giant Tsingshan Holding Group . The plan would be part of the company ’ s non-organic growth strategy . The company is currently expanding its downstream operation , which will help support the Indonesian government ’ s ambition to develop a battery production industry . Separately , it is also preparing to launch construction of two nickel plants under its partnership with China ’ s Ningbo Contemporary Brunp Lygend Ltd ( CBL ).
Outokumpu takes next steps in metal powder production
MAN Industries ( India ) order book stand at Rs 4,000 Cr
MAN Industries ( India ) Ltd ., a large diameter pipe manufacturing company , has announced its financial results for the quarter ended June 30 , 2024 . MAN Industries ( India ) reported a consolidated revenue at Rs 748.7 crore (+ 52.7 % Y-o-Y ) with an EBITDA of Rs 57.9 crore (+ 14.7 % Y-o-Y ). The company reported EBITDA and PAT are quite strong on a year-over-year basis . The company envisages sustainable margins going forward on ramp-up of ERW mill and value-added products like API Pipes , whose production was delayed due to certification and approval process and got started in Q4FY24 . The current unexecuted order book , currently , stands at approx . Rs 4,000 crore , to be executed within the next 6 to 12 months .
Outokumpu , the pioneer in sustainable stainless steel , entered the metal powder market for additive manufacturing nearly a year ago by piloting to produce metal powder at its production site in Krefeld , Germany in April 2023 . Outokumpu ’ s target is to further strengthen the company ’ s ambitious innovation strategy and circular economy efforts by producing annually up to 330 tons of metal powder from the company ’ s own recycled material , 100 % stainless steel scrap . Upon completion of the first trial-year , the company is now entering into commercial production phase . Outokumpu has been entering a collaboration with steel trading company STAHL KREBS . Another collaboration in the pipeline is within the medical and jewellery industry to work on nickel-free materials , which can be used for implants , medical tools and watches . The collaboration is taking place via a public funded project by EIT Raw Materials , HiPAM , led by VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland .
