Toyota Tsusho invests USD 46.65M in Taiwan’ s TCSP
Glenfarne Alaska LNG, LLC and POSCO International Corp have announced an agreement to advance a strategic partnership for the development of the Alaska LNG Project, the only federally authorized LNG export project on the US Pacific Coast. The partnership will include steel supply, LNG offtake, and an investment with respect to the Alaska LNG project. This agreement will include initial terms for POSCO to supply a significant portion of the steel required for Alaska LNG’ s 807- mile, 42-inch pressurized natural gas pipeline. The Alaska LNG pipeline will connect Southcentral Alaska, home to Alaska’ s population center and the Alaska LNG export terminal, with Alaska’ s vast, stranded natural gas resources on the North Slope. Glenfarne is targeting a year-end FID for the Alaska LNG pipeline.
Hogge Precision expanded offerings
Toyota Tsusho Corporation, a trading company, has stepped up its electric vehicle( EV) materials strategy. It has invested USD 46.65M in Ta Chen Stainless Pipe Co., Ltd.( TCSP). The deal gives Toyota Tsusho a 2 per cent stake and secures a foothold in one of Asia’ s major stainless steel and aluminium suppliers. With this investment, Toyota Tsusho ensures FTBC and other partners have a reliable stream of materials. Toyota Tsusho emphasised that the purpose of this investment is to establish a long-term and stable supply system for aluminium.

Mutares SE & Co. KGaA has received an irrevocable offer from Fouré Lagadec, to buy Mutares’ portfolio company Clecim. The transaction is expected to be completed in Q4 of 2025 after the consultation and subject to customary conditions. Clecim is a renowned supplier of carbon and stainlesssteel processing lines, stainless steel rolling mills as well as mechatronic products and metallurgical services, serving steelmakers around the world for more than 100 years. The company generates approx. EUR 55M in revenues and has a workforce of 200. Clecim’ s has undergone a transformation and optimization process, focusing on key projects and products to improve overall quality, implementing tight project management to improve performance and profitability as well as optimizing cost structure measures.
