Strategic integration and technical expansion: EBK under Jiuli High Tech Metals
Following its acquisition by Jiuli Hi-Tech Metals in 2023, Eisenbau Krämer GmbH( EBK) has undergone an accelerated technical and strategic transformation, positioning itself at the forefront of clad and mechanically lined pipe innovation. Central to this evolution is the development of its patented RollClad ® technology, which delivers mechanical bond strengths approaching those of metallurgical cladding while maintaining the economic advantages of MLP systems. Supported by investments in production capability and R & D collaboration, EBK has redefined performance expectations for large-diameter, corrosion-resistant pipeline solutions in demanding oil and gas applications as well as CCS.

On 1 June 2023, Jiuli Hi-Tech Metals acquired 100 % of EBK. A deliberate decision was taken to retain the EBK name, a brand long established both in Germany and internationally as a premium manufacturer of sophisticated clad pipe solutions. This continuity has proved strategically important. At the same time, the acquisition provided EBK with a financially strong and technically knowledgeable owner that understands both the global stainless steel and corrosion-resistant alloy
( CRA) markets and the demanding sectors in which EBK operates. Managing Director Scott McCann explains:“ Over the past two and a half years, the integration has focused on strengthening EBK’ s technical capabilities, accelerating innovation, and expanding production capacity. A central objective has been the industrialisation and qualification of EBK’ s patented RollClad ® nextgeneration mechanically lined pipe( MLP) technology. Significant capital investment has been directed not only towards the product itself, but also towards the engineering team and production infrastructure behind it.” These efforts have resulted in successful qualification programmes with major international oil companies and leading engineering contractors. Production capabilities have been established and validated with key preferred partners, EPC companies and end users. The company has demonstrated that RollClad ® MLP is not a conceptual improvement, but an industrially robust solution capable of meeting the
