6K Additive secures USD 1.95M Phase II contract
International Technologies MySpot Welder
6K Additive, Inc. has been awarded a Phase II contract with a total value of USD 1.95M over an 18-month term. The Award aims to lessen the US military’ s dependence on foreign sources for critical strategic metals. The initiative, titled“ Recovering Strategic Value,” focuses on converting domestic scrap from select United States Military Depots including Nickel, Titanium, Tungsten, and Niobium, into high-value metal powders for additive manufacturing and defence readiness. The goal of the Award is to maximise the value of end-of-life components, high-demand and high-value metal alloys by leveraging the baseline processes developed in the previous 6K Additive DLA awards.

The MySpot delivers superior weld quality without time-consuming setups and surface marring that often requires extensive post-weld finishing. The NK23 series features a newly redesigned horizontal welding gun that enables access to deep boxes and narrow channels that were previously difficult or impossible to weld.
