continues Ms Butting.“ That’ s why we’ re not only looking at new markets, but also at how we can develop new solutions in our current industries. We have decades of experience in nuclear technology as well as in the solar, semiconductor, pharmaceutical and food industries.”“ We talk to our customers: How would you like to develop further? Are you planning any changes to your portfolio? How can we support you? We want to find new solutions together and are partners to the industries. This is true to our motto:‘ Challenge Us!’ I see a good example of this partnership in the aerospace sector. Long-standing customers need the latest technical solutions for their own progress. We develop these in line with customerspecific requirements and thus actively contribute to progress.”
Evolving clad pipe market While the BUTTING Group has made impressive advances in the field of stainless steel welded pipes and vacuum technology, the clad pipe market is largely focused on the oil and gas industry. In this sector as well, future applications are emerging. Ms Butting explains:“ I think this area of BUTTING’ s business can be described in three words: innovation, courage and investment. The BuBi ® pipe was developed entirely in-house and has set new standards in the field of clad pipes. We have always expanded our capacities in this area in line with the market and have thus become a market leader. At the same time, we have consistently further developed the product with the GluBi ® pipe and, most recently, SmartClad ®. We will continue to follow this path. New areas of application are emerging for

our customers in the oil and gas industry, particularly in the field of carbon capture and geothermal energy. We are already developing solutions for this area together with our partners – using clad pipes.”
Partner for future development After nearly 250 years, a culture of innovation and responsiveness allows BUTTING to continue to evolve to meet the needs of customers not only in today’ s challenging markets, but also for emerging technologies and sectors.“ BUTTING’ s high-quality pipes and strong customer focus allow it to be a partner in further development. We rely on a strong group, investments in infrastructure and technology, and the international integration of value creation from engineering to assembly,” concludes Ms Butting.“ With openness and innovative strength, we are actively shaping the future. BUTTING can provide support wherever complex applications and stainless steel come together. Challenge Us!”.
