applying our existing expertise and taking it further.”“ The Group’ s strategy is to continue to evolve to explore emerging sectors where its high-quality products can play a key role,” continues Ms Butting.“ It has always been important for BUTTING to create meaning. For us, this means actively participating in projects that shape our future.”“ In my view, one of the industries currently undergoing the most rapid development is the energy sector. There are numerous innovative projects here that could define the energy supply of the future. We see great potential for making a decisive contribution with our expertise, particularly in the development of fusion reactors and modern nuclear technology.”“ Another example is superconductors. This technology could represent an enormous step forward in the further development of data centres and other energy-intensive applications in particular. Put simply, superconductors are cryogenic(-253 ° C) power lines that are 90 % more efficient than conventional designs because electrical conductivity improves at these temperatures.” Vacuum-insulated piping( VIP) is required for the cryogenic temperatures, and BUTTING CryoTech is one of the most important market leaders in this field and can supply 600 metres of VIP for this specific example.“ Complex solutions with the highest quality and specification requirements made of stainless steel are essential for most future technologies. This is precisely where we position ourselves with our experience and expertise. At the same time, our customers benefit from our global group of companies. As Norbert Heinzle has already described, we can support customers from engineering and production to installation.”
