Formosa Plastics to invest in Fujian Fuxin Special Steel
OndoSense has developed a sensor solution for the level measurement of molten metal with unprecedented precision and stability . The robust and low-maintenance radar system reliably measures the level of steel at temperatures up to 1600 degrees , even in the presence of dust , fumes , smoke , vibrations , or sparks . The sensor usually does not need to be actively cooled , which makes commissioning significantly easier . The solution is based on the OndoSense apex radar sensor and features a measurement accuracy of up to 300 µ m , a measurement rate of 300 Hz and a measurement range of 0.1 to 15 meters . Taiwan ’ s Formosa Plastics Corp . has announced to invest about USD 530M in Fujian Fuxin Special Steel Co ., Ltd . to improve the company ’ s financial structure . Fuxin Special Steel is an integrated stainless steel plant , it includes a steel-making plant , hot rolling plant , annealing and pickling line ( HAPL ), and cold rolling plant . Fuxin Special Steel ’ s new cold rolling mill project with an annual output of 300,000 tons has been put into operation in the first quarter of 2022 .
