Mukand Limited signs a PDA with APEPL 1000 Kelvin , EOS integration of AMAIZE
Mukand Ltd has inked a groundbreaking Power Delivery Agreement ( PDA ) with Amplus Phoenix Energy Pvt Limited ( APEPL ). This collaboration marks a significant step towards fostering clean energy solutions and sustainable practices in the ( stainless ) steel manufacturing industry . The 23.89 MWp Group Captive Solar project embodies Mukand Limited ’ s commitment to environmental stewardship and energy efficiency . Expected to generate 36 MUs annually , this solar venture is projected to offset approximately 28,440 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year . The collaboration with APEPL underscores Mukand ’ s dedication to reducing its carbon footprint and embracing non-conventional energy solutions . This solar power plant adheres to stringent quality standards and specifications , ensuring reliability and operational excellence .
1000 Kelvin in collaboration with EOS have announced the integration of AMAIZE into the EOS software suite . The deep integration significantly expedites production workflows and enhances the engineering process for customers worldwide . With this integration , 1000 Kelvin empowers customers in industries including aerospace , energy , and contract manufacturing to harness cutting-edge AI , streamlining their design processes , slashing engineering costs by up to 80 %, and accelerating the introduction of new additive manufacturing ( AM ) products .

AWI secures a USD 400,000 contract from US springmaker
Alloy Wire International ( AWI ) has just sealed a USD 400,000 contract with a US springmaker to supply a high strength nickel cobalt alloy . The DFARS compliant material will be used in an aerospace application that requires heat and corrosion resistance . AWI manufactures round , flat and profile wire in 60 Exotic alloys , such as Inconel , Monel , Hastelloy , Nimonic and Waspaloy . From its two factories in the West Midlands and Yorkshire , the company continues to be a critical supplier to the UK manufacturing sector whilst also growing its export business , which currently accounts for nearly 55 % of its GBP 17.9M sales .
Tenova is one of the partners of the HyTecHeat project , along with De Nora , Snam , and other European steel producers and RTOs . The HyTecHeat ( Hybrid Technologies for sustainable steel reheating ) project is an initiative of the Horizon Europe program , funded by the European Union ( EU ) with a budget of about EUR3.3M . Its aim is to validate hybrid heating technologies based on natural gas with a progressive increase of hydrogen up to 100 % in downstream processing . Three demo cases testing innovative multifuel burners will facilitate the hydrogen transition of the steel sector paving the way for the abatement of Scope 1 CO2 emissions . Achieved results will bring a CO2 saving in the range of 7.5-25Mt / year at the EU level . The comprehensive testing will encompass not only the burners but the entire production chain , spanning from green energy production to a photovoltaic system , hydrogen generation , and storage , setting the standard for the optimal integration of industrial furnaces with on-site electrolysers , including process control and safety issues .
