PASID : a new association to serve the Turkish stainless steel industry
The Stainless Industry and Businesspeople Association ( PASID ) recently formed in Turkey to boost the country ’ s stainless steel sector . Under the leadership of newly elected President Abdulvahap Arslan Küçükemre , PASID aims to drive innovation and collaboration , positioning the Turkish stainless steel industry for sustainable growth and global competitiveness .

The sector representatives , who came together under the umbrella of the Stainless Industry and Businesspeople Association ( PASID ) held its first ordinary general assembly . The purpose was to address the challenges of the stainless steel sector , increase the utilization of stainless steel , and bolster the sector ’ s international standing . The meeting took place on December 20 at the Ümraniye DES Trade Industry Administration Building and was attended by Ümraniye District Governor Abdülaziz Aydın , Ümraniye Mayor ismet Yıldırım , ITO Steel Committee Chairman Erdal Cenk Ateş , ITU Metallurgy Department Head Professor Bora Derin , as well as numerous entrepreneurs and NGO representatives . PASID ’ s first ordinary general assembly was chaired by Ersoy Özbek , who was elected as the Chairman of the Divan Board , along with members Pınar Turan and Ümit Aslan .
