Meet the Conference Leaders

Session Chair : Joelle Greenwood , Salzgitter Mannesmann Stainless Tubes , France Joelle Greenwood graduated in Toulouse ( France ) and post-graduated at Birmingham Aston University , UK . In the 80 ’ s , she joined Creusot Loire Steel Company ( UK ) where she engaged with flat and forged products in various chemistries and developping her activities in the energy market , focusing on Nuclear and O & G applications . Subsequently , Joelle developed her experience and expertise in sales and project management to include tubular products with the Vallourec Group and CRA in particular . Based at Mannesmann Stainless Tubes French mill since 2003 , she is Global KAM for the O & G and CCUS markets , is active on several international normalisation committees and contributes to key industry events with a passion for CRA materials and the energy sector . In 2018 , she received the Duplex World Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the global materials industry .
Kyohei Kanki , Nippon Steel Corporation , Japan Kyohei Kanki works for Nippon Steel Corporation ( NSC ) as a Researcher in the Materials Development Section of the Materials Research Dept . Kansai R & D Laboratory . He graduated from Kobe University with a Master ’ s degree , and joined NSC in 2016 . Kyohei works with the technical research and development centre of NSC and pursues R & D for OCTG material . His main fields are corrosion engineering for stainless steel and other corrosion resistant alloys . Kyohei is a member of academic societies , including JSCE ( Japan Society of Corrosion Engineering ) and CCS working group .
Filipe Costa , CRONIMET Envirotec , Germany Dr Filipe Costa studied chemistry and business administration at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern and the University of Stellenbosch Business School . He started his career at Carbon Clean Tech , first as R & D Manager and later as Product Manager Polymers and Director R & D . Since 2015 , he has been the CEO of CRONIMET Envirotec GmbH . Dr Costa has positioned the company as a technology leader in the thermal desorption treatment of metal powder and sludges through his valuable insights about innovative , sustainable recycling processes .

Sjoerd van Krimpen , SCW Systems , The Netherlands Sjoerd van Krimpen is the Director of CO 2 CLEANUP within SCW Systems BV , based in the Netherlands . He holds a Master of Science degree in International Business from Maastricht University . He is responsible for the roll-out of SCW ’ s CO 2
CLEANUP technology which is able to process waste streams , including those from the stainless steel industry , and recover valuable metals as well as permanently store CO 2
. Prior to joining SCW Systems , he worked as an Investment Director and Board Member for various companies active in the energy transition in Europe and North America

Session Chair : Peter van Gansewinkel , Brück , Germany Peter van Gansewinkel has been active in metal processing and fabrication for defence , offshore , subsea , hydrocarbon , petrochemical and power generation industries for 38 years . In 1998 he joined the business-to-business marketing and technical sales department of Brück Pipeconnections BV , focusing on material marketing in oil & gas . Peter has metallurgical , mechanical and economic qualifications and over 25 years of successful international experience in the sales and fabrication of open-die forgings and seamless rolled rings . Since 2022 Peter has led the Global Power Generation and Plant & Equipment Construction Sector within Brück GmbH .
Bernardo Siza Vieira , Alleima , Portugal Bernardo Siza Vieira is a materials science & metallurgical engineer from the University of Oporto , Portugal . Bernardo has over 20 years of experience as a metallurgical engineer in areas such as the mould and tooling industry . He joined Sandvik Materials Technology ( now Alleima ) in 2007 as a sales engineer and since 2010 has worked in Technical Marketing in several regions of the world . Bernardo has presented papers at the Duplex World conference , Stainless Steel World and other conferences worldwide . He is part of the Technical Marketing EMEA team at Alleima , responsible for the southwest European markets ( Benelux , France , Iberia , Italy & Adriatic ).
