Freda Ford’s 100th
Freda and Fred
Ford and their
three children
came to
Canberra
in 1963.
Soon
after their
arrival Fred
died suddenly
of a heart
attack.
Freda
decided to
remain in
Canberra
rather than
returning to
Melbourne.
Freda still lives
in her original
home in
Watson.
Freda
worshipped in
St Margaret’s
congregation
from day one -
2 February
1964.
There were 100 hundred guests at the party and at least 80 of them
were relatives of Freda and many had travelled from Melbourne to be
there. The lower photo is of Freda with sons, Ross and Colin, and
daughter Denise. Colin is married to Ruth (nee Lloyd).
