Congratulations Again
In our April 2018 issue, we extended congratulations to Rose-Mary Faulkner
who had been accepted as one of forty six finalists in the EMERGE 2018
International Glass Competition. EMERGE 2018 is the tenth in a biennial
series of exhibitions hosted by Bullseye Projects in Portland, Oregon, USA.
In our May 2018 issue, we again congratulated Rose-Mary on winning the
Wagga Wagga Art Gallery’s acclaimed National Emerging Art Glass Prize.
We also asked the question “Will we be congratulating Rose-Mary here
again after the EMERGE 2018 International Glass Competition winner is
announced on 23 June 2018?”
Well, the answer is a resounding YES. Rose-Mary took out the Silver
Academic Award at EMERGE 2018. The prize is a $2500 Bullseye gift card,
Divided between entrant and school program, recognition at an awards
ceremony, and representation in a “full-color exhibition catalog”.
So congratulations again to Rose-Mary and her proud parents and grand-
parents, Mark and Peta-Gai Faulkner, Robin Bennett and June Faulkner.
