Janet Winkler
Soon after this Janet slipped on the stairs and broke her hip . Since then Janet ’ s health became a downhill slide culminating a move from their lovely home of 38 years into a cottage in a retirement village in Middlebury . Although such a move had been in their plans for the near future they did not expect it to be because of these circumstances .
Complicating these circumstances , Frank had a fall resulting in an injury to his back which has resulted in his need to use a walker . Late last year it seemed that Janet suffered a mild stroke but this certainly left its legacy in regard to her general health . Since the stroke her health has gradually deteriorated until her recent death .
It was very obvious when we were with Janet and Frank that they had a wonderful partnership , were best friends and had a great extended family with their four children . Frank will be missing Janet ’ s company and we pray for him , for his health and for all the family and friends who are mourning the loss of Janet . Although there was a large distance between us I will forever remember and be grateful for our dear friendship .
