NOTE FROM TEACHING PROFESSIONAL
FA L L 2 0 1 8
This Fall, St. Johns Golf and Country Club will be introducing a new Player Development
program titled Operation 36. The primary goal of this program is to introduce new golfers
to playing an actual round of golf from a suitable yardage. We all know how valuable the
driving range can be, but the opportunity to spend time on the golf course hitting real
shots and putts is the best way to build a foundation for the rest of your game.
As we conclude 2018, the program will be introduced in a “Bootcamp” format that will
encompass; one hour of putting instruction, chipping drills, and playing nine holes from
twenty-five yards on the golf course over the following dates: October 28, November 11,
December 2, and December 16.
In January, the program will separate the playing time and the instructional component
into sixty to ninety segments and introduce a full supporting curriculum to help students
achieve their goals. Keep an eye to Facebook for updates, videos, and information on the
specifics of the new programs.
As a reminder, November 1st will mark the conclusion of the weekly Wednesday and
Saturday clinics as we begin to transition into the Operation 36 program, please feel free
to email me at [email protected] to discuss any instructional programs or lesson
options.
Thank You,
