LETTER FROM YOUR GENERAL MANAGER A U G U ST 2 0 1 8 St. Johns Members, It is hard to believe that we are already in August and we will soon be approaching fall! Throughout this month, there will be a lot of activity at the club as we begin numerous projects and will be holding several fun events that you can be a part of. First, on August 6th St Johns is participating in the annual World’s Largest Golf Outing benefiting the Fisher House Foundation. This Foundation provides free housing to military veterans and their families during treatments and services provided at local VA Hospitals. The WLGO will be an 18 Hole, scramble, event to help raise funds and celebrate the Fisher House’s accomplishments. To participate, please register at www.worldslargestgolfouting.com. We are beginning work on renovating the bunkers and construction of our new short game area and putting green! During the construction process, we will be focusing on completing one hole at a time to reduce the impact of play; however, please be mindful that there will be construction equipment on the course and for your safety to avoid their area of work. We estimate construction will be completed by October 1st, just in time for the great Fall weather! On August 25th, we will be hosting a Seafood Boil Night in the Dining Room accompanied by live music! Chef Herbert will be preparing great boil pots, complete with crab, shrimp, and clams, large enough to two people to share. Please make your reservations through our website and place your requested number of pots for the night! Lastly, our first Advisory Meeting will be held on August 14th. Thank you to all the members who have volunteered their time to provide feedback to the Staff. We are excited to begin meeting and discussing how we can further enhance your Club experience.
