PAGE 2 10th Annual Diocesan Art Show Congratulations to the winners in the 10th Annual Diocesan Elementary Art Show at Bishop Moore High School. 108 entries were submitted by students in grades K8 from 27 Catholic schools in the Diocese of Orlando. Only four entries were allowed per school, and all four of St. James entries received a ribbon! Gianna C. received a First Place ribbon for her “Pop Tab Purse” in the ThreeDimensional category for grades 68. Sofia Z. received a First Place ribbon for her acrylic painting “Lily Connor P. Pads” in the Painting category for grades 3-5. Connor P. received a First Place ribbon for his drawing of the “Rock the Heavens” guitar in the Drawing category for grades K-2. Jackson J. received an Honorable Mention ribbon for his clay sculpture necklace “Kokopelli” in the Three-Dimensional category for grades 6-8. We are very proud of our talented students and grateful for the guidance of our Art Teacher, Mrs. Fay and her Assistant Mrs. Arango– Mejia. Panther Highlights We earned $1,500 this year and over $6,000 the past five years from the BoxTop Collection. THANK YOU to everyone who made the BoxTop basketball game a success! Mrs. Ochinero, all the 7th graders who played and cheered for the team, 7th grade student coaches, teacher players, teacher cheerleaders, referees, SJCS cheerleaders, Panther Mascot, Mr. T, clock keepers, audio assistant, those who helped set up/clean up the gym, parents and volunteers. Our 7th graders played a great game, but lost by a few baskets. Congratulations Team Teachers!
