Commercial growth in Lake Elmo
Lake Elmo growth continues with the expansion of commercial offerings this year .
“ Electric cars and Dilly Bars ” made local news in February 2023 , as Lake Elmo expects major growth over the spring and summer of 2023 . Commercial development plans reportedly include a Tesla sales and service center and a Dairy Queen Grill & Chill .
This Tesla dealership will be built on a 50,500-square-foot piece of land on the northwest corner of Hudson Boulevard and Keats Avenue .
Until this Tesla center is built , the nearest sales and service center is in Maplewood .
With two Tesla Destination charging stations on Inwood

Plans for a Dairy Queen set forth Lake Elmo ’ s first offering of fast food . The Dairy Queen will include both indoor dine-in seating and a drive-through . It will be next to another new restaurant , Lakewood Tavern . Located just off Hudson Boulevard and Keats Avenue , Lakewood Tavern opened in early March 2023 .
The continued growth in Lake Elmo is further evidence that it remains a popular destination for residential expansion and future business offerings .
