All nuts have unsaturated fats, but walnuts often steal the spotlight because of their high level of alpha-linoletic acid (ALA). Alpha-linoletic acid, an omega-3 fatty acid, has been linked to heart health and even improved moods. Studies have shown that those who daily eat nuts in general add, on average, an extra two and a half years to their lives! This month I am going to introduce kimchi. I never knew about Kimchi until my cousin introduced it to me. This food is from Korea and it is made from salted and fermented vegetables. People usually make it with napa cabbages and Korean radishes. There are many seasoning used in kimchi, including garlics, ginger, scallions, jeotgal and many more. There are over a hundred different varieties of kimchi with different vegetables. You can buy kimchi at East Soul Oriental Grocery in University city.
