SHE-SHED OF THE MONTH

Like modern, funky-style houses? Then this she-shed of the month is sure to please! Anyway you want to decorate can be as unpredictable as St. Louis weather. The hammock makes for a nice place to rest when the weather is warm, and then go inside the next second when it changes to watch out the glass walls come rain, snow, or shine on a sleek but comfy couch. At night put out chairs and tables and light the bonfire with your friends and family, or host a girls’ night out to enjoy yourself and show off your little getaway.

SEW CUTE

By Theresa Colombini This month we are focusing on a half-apron. These are super fun, super cute, and super easy to make, so get out those sewing machines and let’ s go!
What you need: material preferably with a fun pattern on it, size depending on the person; 1 in./ 1 ½ in. ribbon, depending on which you think looks better; and possibly a fringe to put at the bottom.
First off, hem the edges of the material so there is a clean edge. Next, pleat the top by folding over small sections, pinning, and sewing. To cover the funky looking top, sew ribbon on to make a sash, leaving plenty on each side to make a bow. Then sew your fringe onto the bottom and there you go!
Teddy and Me: I also made a mini one for my stuffed animal Anna Marie, and you can do the same if you have a doll / animal.

AFFORDABLE ACCESSORIES

By Payton Buck
The accessories for winter are hats, which can be worn in so many different ways. They can be tilted on your head, all the way on, or whatever style you like best. You can have all kinds of different jewels, like diamonds or circles or most any shape. You can put lace on them with jewels. You can put all colors with them. To make it festive, put Christmas colors together, like red and green, or orange and black for Halloween. This is a very affordable kind of accessory.

WINTER FASHION

By Payton Buck
The new winter fashion is putting jean jackets with a hat and scarf with some stylish jeans. You can put all colors and / or patterns on the scarf. Because in winter, you most always want a scarf or hat. Plaid scarf and striped hat would go together. Jeans can be any color if they go together with the accessories and same with the shirt. Be careful about wearing red with red, however, because it is hard to match reds and the various shades do not go together that well with each other.
